GPS can offer unique ways for soon to be and current college student-athletes to study and play abroad.  Through an extensive network of partnerships and relationships that GPS has fostered with Universities in Europe, we are positioned to match you with the best university programs and soccer playing experiences.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: High school students who are looking for a once in a lifetime opportunity to study and play in Europe can pursue a 4 year college education at one of a number of excellent partner institutions.  This allows the student to gain a high quality education which will differentiate from the majority of american college students while also providing them the ability to play college soccer year round.  In addition GPS will also facilitate the student playing with a local amateur or professional team to further enhance the soccer experience.  The student will also find that in nearly every case the relative cost for their college education will be less than a comparable university in the United States.

GPS can also look to place high school student-athletes in semester or summer programs with similar exposure to European colleges and local amateur and professional soccer clubs.

COLLEGE STUDENTS: GPS works with current college student-athletes to provide them with a way to extend and enhance their off-season training by spending a semester at a leading University in Ireland, the UK or mainland Europe.   Players will have a European soccer experience that will include playing for the European college and training with a local professional or amateur club.

As the off-season for college soccer players in the US typically offer little in regular competitive play, GPS’ semester abroad option provides playersthe opportunity to train and play for a longer period and experience a different style of football.  This, coupled with the opportunity for further training at a local amateur/pro club, will provide an excellent player development environment for the athlete.  

The program has been vetted through a number of Compliance Departments at leading colleges and while we are careful to abide by all NCAA rules, we also require approval from the student-athlete’s own Compliance Department.
